The Educational Psychologist is visiting my Daughter's school today to observe her and then she is coming here to discuss her findings, tomorrow we have a meeting with CAHMS to discuss her behaviour as well. It's a difficult and confusing time for us all, I am just praying for quick diagnosis so we can start to make the changes that will benefit her. A few of her 'quirks' are;
* She is very easily distracted at school and will refuse to do work
* She shouts out inappropriate things in class and is very rude to her teachers
* She will not wear certain clothes or eat certain foods and she doesn't like the feeling/texture
* She does not understand social rules so finds it very difficult to mix with her peers
* She gets highly emotional over the slightest things, sometimes crying, even wailing in dispair
* She can take up to 30 minutes to get dressed as she forgets what she is supposed to be doing
* She is very clingy to me, panicking if she does not know where I am even if I am upstairs/ in the garden
So plenty of things to make her special!
Welcome to my Blog, hope you enjoy my journey, however boring and mundane it may seem to me and hopefully I'll be back tomorrow ;)
